पुस्तक का विवरण : इस समय यह “शिवपुराण” जो कि सर्वपुरानों में अत्युक्तम गिना जाता है, पूरा कहीं मिलता नहीं | जहाँ कही राजा महाराजा या महिसुर विद्वानों के मंदिरों में मिलता है, वह अधुरा ही देख पड़ता है | यदि किसी महात्मा शिवभक्त के घर पूरा मिलता है तो उसमे क्रम नहीं है | यही इतिहास का क्रम भी ठीक है तो चोबीस हजार श्लोक पुरे नहीं हुए……

Pustak Ka Vivaran : Is samay yah “Shivapuraan” jo ki sarvapuranon mein atyuktam gina jata hai, pura kahin milta nahin. Jahan kahi raja maharaja ya mahisur vidvanon ke mandiron mein milta hai, vah adhura hi dekh padta hai. Yadi kisi mahatma shivabhakt ke ghar pura milta hai to usme kram nahin hai. Yahi itihas ka kram bhi thik hai to chobis hajar shlok pure nahin hue…………
