Short Description of Datta Stotra : Yah shree Datt Stotra bhagawan dattatrey ki mahima ka varṇan karata hai. Isamen bataya gaya hai ki bhagawan dattatrey mahan tejasvi, mahayogi our atri muni ke putra hain. Unake smaraṇ matra se sabhi pap nashṭ ho jate hain. Ve bhasm, kownpiṇ, yogapaṭṭ dharaṇ karate hain our sadagi se jivan jite hain. Ve vishṇu our shiv svarup mane gae hain. Mata-pita ke prati samarpit hokar ve pratidin ganga snan karate hain. Bhagawan datt bhakton ke sabhi kashṭ dur karate hain our unaki ichchhaen purṇ karate hain. Unaka smaraṇ sowbhagy, shanti our kṛapa pradan karata hai.
This Sri Datta Stotra describes the glories of Lord Dattatreya. It is said that Lord Dattatreya is the son of the Great Radiant, Mahayogi and Atri Muni. All sins are destroyed by remembering them. They wear Bhasma, Kaupina, Yogapatta and lead a simple life. He is considered as Vishnu and Shiva form. Devoted to their parents, they bathe in the Ganges every day. Lord Dutt removes all the hardships of the devotees and fulfills their desires. His remembrance bestows good luck, peace and grace.
