दीदी पुस्तक का कुछ अंश : जुलाई माह में उस दिन,रात भर हुई बारिश के बाद ठंडी सुबह के समय,ओढ़ी हुई तेहस-नेहस चादर से चेहरे को ढ़कने और उसे पैरों से दबाने की कोशिश कर रहा था,इतने शांत माहौल में चौकें(किचन) से दादी की पूजा करते हुये मंत्र पढ़ने की आवाज एकदम साफ आ रही थी,घर 2 कमरों का रेलवे क्वाटर था तो ज़्यादा बड़ा भी नही था इसलिए देवी-देवताओं की पूजा का स्थान चौकें (किचन) में ही बना था,घर पर सिर्फ हम 5 लोग ही रहते थे मैं,मेरी बड़ी दीदी, मम्मी-पापा,और दादी…..
